General Electric has built Customer Applications Centers to provide a venue for their industry customers to learn about current GE products. The project initially included 10 sites around the world’s larges industrial centers, has grown to 16 locations, and with more on the way.
The project called for compelling touchscreen content as well as a platform to manage new and changing content for over 10 sites around the globe. To manage such a large amount of content all over the world, the system had to be 100% reliable with zero effort, as on-site technical support is not available.
A careful mix of cutting-edge web technologies, video editing, 3D tools, and a mix of local and distributed network methods were used to produce a beautiful experience – with the peace of mind of rock-solid reliability.
